All Boats to start and finish on the line from Committee boat to Lifeboat
1.- MEGA GIGS Staggered 30 second standing start. Two boats set off at a time. In following order:
Cornish Pilot Gigs
Solent Galleys
Jolly Boats
Celtic Longboats
2.- CLASSIC & SPIRIT OF TRADITION (OPEN CLASS ) Two classes Fixed & sliding seat. Staggered 30 second standing start. Two boats set off at a time.
3.- BURSLEDON GIGS (& others deemed suitable by raid committee and by agreement). Staggered 30 second standing start. Two boats set off at a time.
4.- TRINITY 500’s (Sea Cadet Corps) & HOME COUNTIES GIG’s (Scouts). Staggered 30 second standing start. Two boats set off at a time.
5.- EGRET’s Staggered 30 second standing start. Two boats set off at a time.
6.- OUTRIGGER CANOES Staggered 30 second standing start. Two boats set off at a time.
7.- SUP’s All boats set off at same time (or in two phases if too many).
8.- Canoes All boats set off at same time (or in two phases if too many)
9.- SINGLE HANDED KAYAK. All boats set off at same time (or in two phases if too many)
10.- MULTIPLE HANDED KAYAK. All boats set off at same time (or in two phases if too many)
The line will be from the down stream end of the Hamble Quay Pontoon to a moored boat suitably identified.
This line is some way off the beach to allow those finishing at the line to veer out of the finish area and ensure that they must not beach within the area designated for the beach finishers.
